This is a two-year Master's degree programme offered at the University of Lodz by
the Institute of Econometrics and Statistics. These studies include teaching methods
and tools in mathematics, statistics and econometrics used in advanced analysis of
economic phenomena at micro- and macro level. The programme of the studies is a
response to the need of modern labour market where employees with sound
analytical skills can work as experts and use mathematical, statistical and econometric
techniques as well as computer skills to produce value-added projects. One of the
advantages of the programme is that it is lead by qualified academic teachers, both
from Poland and abroad - e.g. coming from foreign universities co-operating with the
University of Lodz. The knowledge acquired by students focuses on rational decisionmaking
in various activities on internal and international level. Students possess high
level of expertise in making advanced technological projects and databases and
implementing them in administration and enterprises. They are also able to perform
the formulation of the technological progress in those entities.
The charge of 3000 PLN/year applies for Polish and the EU/EFTA citizens.
2500 EUR/year for students from outside the EU/EFTA, exclusive of an additional
200 EUR charge that covers registration fee (for students of Polish origin the tuition
is reduced by 30%).

Candidates holding higher education (Bachelor) diplomas or Master degrees may
apply. A transcript of records showing the subjects/grades and a certificate of proficiency
in English for foreigners (unless the first degree was taught in English) are
