Computer Science programme covers thoroughly the area of mathematics, which<br />

allows for the effective learn<strong>in</strong>g of computer science and programm<strong>in</strong>g techniques<br />

<strong>in</strong> the next semesters. Students receive basic <strong>in</strong>formation on calculus, l<strong>in</strong>ear algebra<br />

and geometry, discrete mathematics, logics, numerical methods and pr<strong>in</strong>ciples of<br />

electronics. Additionally, dur<strong>in</strong>g the first semesters, <strong>in</strong>troductory courses to<br />

structural and object-oriented programm<strong>in</strong>g, algorithms and data structures and<br />

operat<strong>in</strong>g systems are offered. Until the fourth semester, classes are jo<strong>in</strong>t for all<br />

students. From the fifth semester students have the opportunity to choose elective<br />

courses accord<strong>in</strong>g to their <strong>in</strong>terests. The electives cover both, the theoretical and<br />

practical aspects of computer science and offer extension as well as more thorough<br />

understand<strong>in</strong>g of the subject. The last, seventh semester is ma<strong>in</strong>ly devoted to team<br />

project and diploma.<br />
