Electrical and Computer Engineering programme requires coursework in one
specialisation and writing a thesis. Students choose their specialisation at the
beginning of the studies. Two specialisations are currently offered: Computer Systems
and Networks (CSN) and Telecommunications (TCM).
Graduates of the M.Sc. programme in the Computer Systems and Networks
specialisation will have comprehensive qualifications in the area of computer science
basics, including basic knowledge of information processing, as well as in the area of
algorithms and system modelling. They will be proficient in computer programming
and skilful in using computer tools. They will become self-reliant in scheduling,
implementing and verifying complex computer projects.
Graduates of the M.Sc. programme in the Telecommunications specialisation will
have the knowledge and skills necessary for the design, implementation and
operation of telecommunication circuits, equipment and systems based on modern
technologies. They will have studied, in particular, the methods and techniques for
transmission of information by means of radio waves using the potential of digital
techniques, computers and other advanced technologies as well as the methods for
image and sound processing.
