The purpose of M. Sc. studies <strong>in</strong> the major: Production Management and Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g<br />

is education of specialists, who will comb<strong>in</strong>e specialist eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g knowledge <strong>in</strong> the<br />

scope of technical problems of the widely understood electromechanical <strong>in</strong>dustry<br />

with master<strong>in</strong>g managerial and economic skills, such as: design<strong>in</strong>g new production<br />

and operation systems, facilities, management systems, selection and tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g of<br />

personnel, evaluation of achieved results along with technical controll<strong>in</strong>g and cost<br />

management, projects (<strong>in</strong>dustrial consult<strong>in</strong>g and advisory), market<strong>in</strong>g, logistics,<br />

distribution, capital and material <strong>in</strong>vestment management.<br />

It is also expected that graduates from the major of Production Management and<br />

Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g will master skills <strong>in</strong> organiz<strong>in</strong>g and conduct<strong>in</strong>g the R&D works, <strong>in</strong><br />

particular: design<strong>in</strong>g and implement<strong>in</strong>g technological and organizational <strong>in</strong>novations,<br />

mak<strong>in</strong>g modernization changes, and restructur<strong>in</strong>g<br />
