This is the age of <strong>in</strong>formation and technology which are <strong>in</strong>separably <strong>in</strong>tertw<strong>in</strong>ed and<br />

feed on each other to grow and conquer all forms of human enterprise. Program of<br />

BSc <strong>in</strong> Computer Science offers opportunity for bright young m<strong>in</strong>ds to excel <strong>in</strong> the<br />

areas of <strong>in</strong>formation technology, computer software and computer hardware. We<br />

believe that neither theory nor practice alone is enough <strong>in</strong> teach<strong>in</strong>g Computer<br />

Science. Therefore, our courses are based on balance of theory and practice. It is set<br />

up so that students ga<strong>in</strong> a thorough understand<strong>in</strong>g of the subjects and courses. Our<br />

graduates acquire excellent skills <strong>in</strong> computer systems, software design and<br />

programm<strong>in</strong>g, operat<strong>in</strong>g and ma<strong>in</strong>tenance of hardware, as well as adm<strong>in</strong>ister<strong>in</strong>g and<br />

management of networks. Students who successfully complete undergraduate studies<br />

are entitled to cont<strong>in</strong>ue their education <strong>in</strong> our Master’s Degree program <strong>in</strong> the field<br />

of Applications of Computer Technologies <strong>in</strong> Economics.<br />

<strong>Study</strong> program run on basis of close cooperation with bus<strong>in</strong>ess and <strong>in</strong>dustry under<br />

“Cooperative Education” – a pioneer project <strong>in</strong> <strong>Poland</strong> that aims at full <strong>in</strong>tegration of<br />

bus<strong>in</strong>ess and higher education, above all else by means of the follow<strong>in</strong>g actions:<br />

restructur<strong>in</strong>g the syllabi to answer future market needs, engag<strong>in</strong>g market experts and<br />

specialist <strong>in</strong> prepar<strong>in</strong>g course contents and active participation <strong>in</strong> teach<strong>in</strong>g process,<br />

dedicated <strong>in</strong>ternship and tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g programs, common realization of market research,<br />

study tours, summer schools, sem<strong>in</strong>ars, symposia, workshops, etc.<br />
