The aim of the programme is to educate open-minded specialists who are able to
understand, analyze and solve different socio-economic problems in the vast area of
economics and also work in similar field in various institutions.
The programme includes essential knowledge in economic fundamentals and at the
same time allows students to expand individual interests in complex issues of economics
- through numerous elective courses. The programme content is designed to fully
meet with current market need of specialists in economics. Understanding the gravity
of appropriate training, the studies supplement academic knowledge with additional
practise via case studies and group work. Students have various opportunities to apply
their knowledge and skills effectively to many areas of their interests and to make themselves
familiar with theoretical as well as empirical part of studies in economics. Thus,
the programme attempts to educate most comprehensively on contemporary approach
towards globalization and integration, and other dimensions of complex processes of
global economy. Graduates of the programme can find employment as policy-makers,
economic analysts, researchers and other economic professionals. Generally as those
who are expected to understand development processes in global economy on its various
levels like the government representatives, public administration workers, highly
qualified advisors, etc. They are well prepared to work in flexible, multicultural work
environment where good knowledge of development is essential.
The charge of 3000 PLN/year applies for Polish and the EU/EFTA citizens.
2500 EUR/year for students from outside the EU/EFTA, exclusive of an additional
200 EUR charge that covers registration fee (for students of Polish origin the tuition
is reduced by 30%).

A transcript of records showing the subjects/grades and a certificate of proficiency in
English for foreigners (unless the first degree was taught in English) are required. For
