The name of this course originates from a combination of two words: “mechanics”
and “electronics”. Curriculum of this course consists of mechanics, electrical engineering,
electronics, informative techniques and automation and it prepares for
designing and exploiting of electromechanical devices, which are equipped with
microcomputer control systems. Mechatronics as an engineering combination and
cooperation of above-mentioned technical sciences is directed towards designing
and producing of multifunctional products that can function in contemporary changing
environment in an intelligent way.
Mechatronics is also a suitable course for people interested in precise devices designing,
computers systems application in machine and technological devices automation,
controller and computer systems programming, electronic control and measurement
systems designing, robotics and usage of artificial intelligence.
In this course students may choose between following diploma profiles:
1. Engineering in medicine
2. Mechatronics structures
3. Mechatronics in transport
To end the studies a student is obligated to write an engineering dissertation concerning
modern devices and mechatronics structures.
