The Opole University of Technology (OUTech) was founded in 1966 and it is the
largest academic institution in the region with a significant position and tradition,
providing education mostly in the area of technical science but also in the fields of
management, tourism, sport and physiotherapy.The scientific and educational potential
of the university is built by high-class academic and research staff operating in the
fields important for the development of both science and economy. OUTech plays an
important role in the development of the Opole Region.
At the moment OUTech is among the fastest growing universities in Poland,
continuously adjusting its profile to the World Market economy and dynamically developing
international cooperation with numerous academic and industrial institutions
from Europe, America and Asia. Opole University of Technology is registered in the
European FEANI index and is the member of European University Association (EUA) as
well as European Society for Engineering Education (SEFI). University is a host institution
for International Meeting – the very prestigious international event, that year by
year, increases the number of foreign participants as well as the regional awareness.
Due to increasing involvement in international collaboration, University was awarded
the publication in the last issue of European Commission’s “European Success Stories”
devoted to European universities distinguished in creative and innovative actions when
implementing the assumptions of Erasmus Lifelong Learning Programme strategy.
The university faculties comprise of: The university faculties comprise of:
Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automatic Control and Informatics,
Management , Civil Engineering, Production Engineerig and Logistics and Faculty of
Physical Education and Physiotherapy. OUTech provides education in 20 majors and
3 scientific degrees, with courses available also in English language.
