Graduates of the Civil Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g programme ga<strong>in</strong> solid knowledge <strong>in</strong> basic<br />

discipl<strong>in</strong>es such as: mathematics, physics, chemistry, mechanics, <strong>in</strong>formation<br />

technologies, but also social sciences and humanities to prepare them for<br />

professional cooperation with people. In their professions, graduates will perform<br />

structural design projects of various types of build<strong>in</strong>gs, public facilities, <strong>in</strong>dustrial<br />

build<strong>in</strong>gs and other eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>frastructure, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g simple architectural design.<br />

Graduates are prepared to deal with modernization, repair and adaptation of exist<strong>in</strong>g<br />

build<strong>in</strong>gs and structures. They obta<strong>in</strong> general knowledge of the technology and<br />

organization of construction works, selection of materials, build<strong>in</strong>g, operat<strong>in</strong>g, and<br />

protection of build<strong>in</strong>gs and eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g structures. They are proficient <strong>in</strong> computer<br />

techniques and modern technology <strong>in</strong> eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g practice.<br />
