Mathematics
First of all, we expect scientific minds. Therefore, a profound mathematical background
is inevitable. It may appear that the elements of mathematics required during
the studies at our faculty scarcely correspond to the knowledge a student
acquired at school. However, what might prove necessary are the skills that you have
developed during your previous education, particularly critical problem analysis, creativity
in finding solutions and flexible thinking.
Computer studies
Secondary schools tend to have different approaches towards teaching computer
studies, usually putting too much emphasis on computer skills. Hence, it is not
required that the candidates show advanced skills in that field, as we provide them
with opportunities to improve them during studies. We appreciate if the candidates
are familiar with computer studies, though.
English language skills
Obviously, candidates are supposed to know English at a good level, since it will be
the language used during the classes. Nevertheless, if need be, the candidates will be
given a chance to improve their language skills in Wrocław.
