The programme is created for students wishing to explore the field of study known as
nanotechnology. It provides students with professional knowledge of solid state
physics and modern materials including their structural, electronic, optical and
magnetic properties and their application in industry.
The general programme of the course:
– 1 st and 2 nd term – classes in home Universities: University of Silesia (teaching
language Polish) or Université du Maine (teaching language French),
– end of the 2 nd term – students’ exchange for foreign training period,
– 3 rd and 4 th term – classes in English, also e-learning,
– 4 th term – one more students’ exchange and preparation of theses

Université du Maine, France
EU/EFTA citizens applying on a regular basis – no fees;
Non-EU/EFTA citizens: 3500 EUR per year;
200 EUR – application fee.
