The 2-year <strong>Programme</strong> consists of four semesters (terms) and offers 20 courses<br />

<strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g master sem<strong>in</strong>ar aimed at thesis preparation and <strong>in</strong>dividual focus. All units<br />

are taught <strong>in</strong> English by experienced American and European academic teachers. The<br />

unique format of the Graduate M.A. <strong>Programme</strong> <strong>in</strong> International Relations not only<br />

<strong>in</strong>troduces students to the work<strong>in</strong>gs of International Relations, but also makes them<br />

responsive to <strong>in</strong>terdiscipl<strong>in</strong>ary concerns such as law, bus<strong>in</strong>ess, history and culture. The<br />

<strong>Programme</strong> is addressed to students who have obta<strong>in</strong>ed Bachelor, Master of Arts or<br />

equivalent degree <strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong>ternational relations or related areas, and prepare to work <strong>in</strong><br />

<strong>in</strong>stitutions and companies deal<strong>in</strong>g with wide-rang<strong>in</strong>g repertoire of <strong>in</strong>ternational<br />

issues. The studies offer an array of options to specialize <strong>in</strong>: security and strategic<br />

studies, modern diplomacy, European <strong>in</strong>tegration and <strong>in</strong>ternational trade policy. The<br />

classes are run on a weekly basis. In the general methodological sense, the purpose of<br />

teach<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>ternational relations is to develop the follow<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>terdiscipl<strong>in</strong>ary skills:<br />

ability to describe the contemporary world, to expla<strong>in</strong> phenomena and processes, to<br />

<strong>in</strong>terpret rules and latest developments <strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong>ternational relations as well as<br />

mechanisms govern<strong>in</strong>g national foreign policies, to evaluate and forecast actions and<br />

behaviour of <strong>in</strong>ternational life participants, f<strong>in</strong>ally to participate practically <strong>in</strong> the<br />

<strong>in</strong>ternational environment.<br />

TOEFL, TSE, EU university language certificates from the level B2 and above); two<br />
