The Psychology studies <strong>in</strong> English programme is our new offer for foreign students<br />

wish<strong>in</strong>g to participate <strong>in</strong> acquir<strong>in</strong>g recent knowledge, conduct<strong>in</strong>g research or gather<strong>in</strong>g<br />

experience <strong>in</strong> the practical approach.<br />

It is important to mention that the two-level (BA/MA) studies <strong>in</strong> psychology are not<br />

available and a s<strong>in</strong>gle-course 5-year Master study is required to graduate. The participants<br />

will have a unique chance too cooperate with polish students and foreign psychology<br />

students. This gives the possibility to compare different approaches to psychology and ga<strong>in</strong><br />

a more diverse view on the subject matter. Apart from the common, compulsory set of<br />

subjects there is a wide range of elective ones. Additionally the university is open on all<br />

sorts of student <strong>in</strong>itiatives to create their own projects, groups, workshops, etc. Participants<br />

would naturally have the chance to exchange knowledge about their cultures and customs<br />

for example <strong>in</strong> the form of <strong>in</strong>teractive workshops or lectures.<br />

Students can make use of state-of-the-art laboratories: multimedia, computer lab,<br />

occupational therapy, psychophysical tests as well as a research lab.<br />

Dur<strong>in</strong>g the forth and fifth year students can choose specialisation modules such as:<br />

Cl<strong>in</strong>ical Psychology, Social Psychology, Psychology of Development Support<br />

As part of the EU programme Erasmus, our Faculty participates <strong>in</strong> an exchange of<br />

students and academics with foreign universities such as: Padova (Italy), Ankara<br />

(Turkey), Pieksamaki (F<strong>in</strong>land), Vasa (F<strong>in</strong>land), Bańska Bystrzyca (Slovakia) and other.<br />

Students of Polish orig<strong>in</strong> are entitled to a 30% discount.<br />

September 10 th , 2011<br />

Secondary-school leav<strong>in</strong>g exam<strong>in</strong>ation, a certificate of English language proficiency for<br />

foreigners is also required.<br />

A m<strong>in</strong>imum of 20 candidates is required for the study to start. Additionally each<br />

candidate is to present an essay on psychological issues.<br />
