community and c<strong>on</strong>sumer safety, agriculture, commerce and labour. Service improvements<br />

and cost efficiencies may be found through c<strong>on</strong>solidati<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> administrative functi<strong>on</strong>s, colocati<strong>on</strong><br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fices and procedural improvements. The less<strong>on</strong>s learned by MAG through its<br />

clustering efforts for adjudicative tribunals would provide insight and strategies for fur<strong>the</strong>r<br />

streng<strong>the</strong>ning agency accountability, efficiency and oversight throughout <strong>the</strong> OPS.<br />

Integrati<strong>on</strong> and C<strong>on</strong>solidati<strong>on</strong> Opportunities for <strong>Public</strong> Safety Training<br />

Recommendati<strong>on</strong> 14-7: Examine integrati<strong>on</strong> opportunities and c<strong>on</strong>solidate where possible<br />

public safety training in policing, fire services and correcti<strong>on</strong>al services, which are currently<br />

delivered individually through <strong>the</strong>ir respective colleges.<br />

C<strong>on</strong>solidati<strong>on</strong> opti<strong>on</strong>s could also examine <strong>the</strong> use <strong>of</strong> alternative service delivery models<br />

in delivering training (e.g., increased use <strong>of</strong> e-learning) and partnerships with community<br />

colleges to provide training. The following chart provides some <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> business models<br />

that can be examined for delivery <strong>of</strong> public safety training:<br />
