At the same time, the groupware solution Open Exchange was introduced,
a web-based system for decentralized electronic acquisition offering
an interface to SAP/R3 went active, and IBIT took over responsibility for
the operation, support and further development of Stud.IP from the Department
for Informatics.
All the abovementioned applications are already or are about to be integrated
into the portal. Even without a dedicated campus-management solution
the University of Oldenburg has reached a high degree of integration in
the direction of an e-campus.
5.2.3 Integrated Media Literacy Instruction
An integrated course and training concept for media literacy had to be
developed for different university user groups. Media literacy was defined
as information and IT literacy in the sense of an information and communication
technology (ICT) literacy. 3
Given the changes in the University of Oldenburg (Bachelor and Master
programs) the need to act and offer courses in this area arose quickly. For
this reason conceptual and operational work had to be done in parallel.
From a broad media-literacy profile target-group specific qualification
concepts with different instructional forms were derived.
