IN <strong>the</strong> first <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> following passages all wickedness, in<br />

<strong>the</strong> sec<strong>on</strong>d extreme wickedness, is referred to original sin ;<br />

in <strong>the</strong> third, different degrees admitted in evil, are ac<br />

counted for by different degrees <strong>of</strong> original sin ; in <strong>the</strong><br />

fourth and fifth <strong>the</strong>se degrees in evil appear as <strong>the</strong> addi<br />

ti<strong>on</strong>s <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> individual to original sin, though in what<br />

precise sense <strong>the</strong>y leave uncertain.<br />
