HOOKER states S. Augustine s doctrine <strong>of</strong> predestinati<strong>on</strong> as<br />

<strong>the</strong> doctrine that <strong>the</strong> whole body <strong>of</strong> mankind in <strong>the</strong> view<br />

<strong>of</strong> Grod s eternal knowledge lay universally polluted with<br />

sin, worthy <strong>of</strong> c<strong>on</strong>demnati<strong>on</strong> and death ; that over <strong>the</strong> mass<br />

<strong>of</strong> corrupti<strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong>re passed two acts <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> will <strong>of</strong> Grod, an<br />
