i 1 . After bath or ablution;<br />

1 2. When receiv<strong>in</strong>g the first fruits of the harvest;<br />

1 3. When visit<strong>in</strong>g the graveyard.<br />

On each of these occasions the Muslim is advised to re-<br />

member God with proper and fitt<strong>in</strong>g utterances express<strong>in</strong>g<br />

his feel<strong>in</strong>gs and thoughtfulness.<br />

There are given supplications for these occasions, but<br />

one can use whatever one knows as long as it is <strong>in</strong> Praise of<br />

God and Remembrance of Him. Here we give some specific<br />

examples to be used as a suitable pattern:<br />

1. Before meals or dr<strong>in</strong>ks one says:<br />

"Besmi-l-Lahi"<br />

"IntheNameofGod."<br />

2. When f<strong>in</strong>ish<strong>in</strong>g meals one says:<br />

"Al-Hamdu Lil-Lahi-L-Ladhi At'amana,<br />

wasagana, wa Ja'alana Muslimeen.<br />
