It will be reveal<strong>in</strong>g to exam<strong>in</strong>e the high correlation be-<br />

tween strict formal rnonogamy and the frequency of prostitu-<br />

tion, homo-sexuality, illegitimacy, <strong>in</strong>fidelity, and general<br />

sexual laxity. The historical record of the Greek-Roman and<br />

the Jewish-Christian civilizations is even more reveal<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong><br />
