10001 MARCOR OSH PROGRAM MANUAL2. Installation <strong>safety</strong> managers shall:a. Manage the program for abatement of work center hazards.b. Ensure an annual inspection is conducted of all workcenters.c. Assist tenant comm<strong>and</strong>s in the tracking of infrastructurehazards.d. Ensure all vending machines having an empty weightexceeding 700 pounds, <strong>and</strong> cold drink vending machines(regardless of weight), at Marine Corps activities are affixedwith a <strong>safety</strong> label <strong>and</strong> firmly anchored to the floor or wallwith an industry st<strong>and</strong>ard stabilizing bracket. The <strong>safety</strong> labelshall be displayed near the coin slot <strong>and</strong> warn about hazards oftipping or rocking the machine. The type of anchor is a localdetermination based on the material <strong>and</strong> construction of the wallor floor.3. Supervisors shall:a. Ensure an annual inspection of each work center isconducted.b. Report mishaps in the work center to the ISM or unit<strong>safety</strong> officer.c. Ensure personnel are trained on the hazards associatedwith work being performed <strong>and</strong> follow procedures described incomm<strong>and</strong>’s SOPs, PMs, TMs, <strong>and</strong> this Manual.d. Ensure an emergency plan is available <strong>and</strong> posted.4. Marine Corps personnel shall:a. Report unsafe work conditions to supervisors.b. Report injuries <strong>and</strong> illnesses to supervisors.10-4
