PPE must be provided at no cost to employees and madeaccessible and available in appropriate sizes. PPE also must bekept clean and in good repair.3. Single use gloves must be replaced as soon as possible afterthey are contaminated, torn, or punctured, and will not bere-used under any circumstances.20006. HOUSEKEEPING PRECAUTIONS1. Housekeeping personnel may be occupationally exposed topotentially infectious material during the course of theirduties. Therefore, housekeeping personnel need to follow thewritten cleaning schedule that outlines proper decontaminationand disposal of contaminated materials.2. Equipment and work areas must be cleaned and decontaminatedas soon as feasible after contact with any blood or potentiallyinfectious fluids.3. Protective coverings must be removed and replaced whenovertly contaminated, or at the end of each shift, if there is apossibility of contamination during the shift.4. Contaminated laundry should be handled as little aspossible.
