Accessibility of the plan to personnel; and review andupdate at least annually, or more often if necessary, by the MTFto accommodate work center changes.20002. RESPONSIBILITIES1. Commands shall request IHs, occupational health nurse orpersonnel from the local MTF to assist them in developing anexposure control plan for personnel that directly support theiroperations.2. Industrial hygienists shall identify job classifications andtasks where exposure to blood and other potentially infectiousmaterials may occur. Industrial hygienists will assist intraining, establishing procedures for implementing engineeringand work practice controls, PPE requirements, and housekeepingprecautions.3. Safety personnel shall evaluate the circumstances of anexposure incident, participate in the development of exposurecontrol plan, ensure personnel are trained in proper precautionsfor handling bloodborne pathogens, and request technical helpfrom the industrial hygienist serving their organization.4. MTFs shall maintain schedules for employees, hepatitisvaccinations, post-exposure evaluation, follow-up, and recordkeeping.20-4
