19002 MARCOR OSH PROGRAM MANUAL2. The ISM shall:a. Serve as a member of the ergonomics team or designate arepresentative from the <strong>safety</strong> office.b. Coordinate ergonomics training for the ergonomics teammembers.c. Oversee <strong>safety</strong> aspects of the ergonomics program.d. Review injury <strong>and</strong> illness records related to WMSDs,develop trend analyses, <strong>and</strong> report results to the ergonomicsteam <strong>and</strong> <strong>safety</strong> council or committee. Identify jobs where WMSDshave occurred <strong>and</strong> <strong>dir</strong>ect efforts for reducing factors that mayhave contributed to or caused the injury.e. Incorporate fundamental ergonomic principles into new orexisting facilities, tasks or operations through engineeringdesign reviews.3. The Director, Public Works or Facilities Department shall:a. Integrate ergonomic considerations into all work centerimprovements.b. Implement ergonomics team recommendations to eliminateor reduce work center ergonomic risk factors.c. Appoint an advisory or support representative fromengineering or maintenance to the ergonomics team.4. The Director, Human Resources Office shall:a. Ensure all supervisors, managers, <strong>and</strong> employees receiveappropriate ergonomics training as developed by the ergonomicsteam.b. Appoint at least one representative to serve on theergonomics team. This may be the Injury Compensation ProgramAdministrator (ICPA).c. Use MTF recommendations in the assignment of injuredworkers to light or restricted duty.19-6
