2002 MARCOR OSH PROGRAM MANUAL8. Ensure that all work centers <strong>and</strong> training areas areinspected at least annually <strong>and</strong> the necessary deficiency reportsare completed per chapter 7.9. Establish procedures to protect all Marine Corps personnelfrom coercion, discrimination, or reprisals for participation inthe Marine Corps OSH Program.10. Provide Marine Corps personnel <strong>and</strong> their employeerepresentatives access to exposure <strong>and</strong> medical records IAW BUMEDInstructions.11. Establish Marine Corps OSH education <strong>and</strong> training programsper chapter 5 to include MCO 5100.30A.12. Coordinate <strong>occupational</strong> health <strong>and</strong> industrial hygienesupport with the responsible medical comm<strong>and</strong> per chapter 11.13. Ensure senior management, middle management, <strong>and</strong> first linesupervision support the Marine Corps OSH Program to the extentof their authority <strong>and</strong> responsibility by:a. Setting the example for subordinates.b. Promptly reporting <strong>and</strong> correcting recognized hazards.c. Clearly defining <strong>and</strong> assigning individual OSHresponsibilities to subordinates.d. Conducting or participating in work center <strong>and</strong> trainingarea inspections, including those made by the activity OSHpersonnel.e. Receiving training appropriate to their level ofresponsibility <strong>and</strong> authority. Marine Corps OSH orientationtraining does not need to be repeated with subsequentassignments to other levels of management unless significant OSHrelated changes have occurred.f. Acquiring, maintaining, <strong>and</strong> requiring the use ofapproved personal protective equipment (PPE), approved <strong>safety</strong>equipment, <strong>and</strong> other devices necessary to protect personnel.2-8
