Inspectors may discuss with personnel those mattersaffecting their safety and occupational health, and offer themthe opportunity to identify unsafe and/or unhealthful workingconditions.4. TMs, directives and the 29 CFR 1910 or 29 CFR 1926 may bereferenced. Inspectors shall comply with all appropriate OSHrules applicable to the work center being inspected. Baselineindustrial hygiene surveys help to identify some of theserequirements.5. Upon the conclusion of an inspection, the inspector willdebrief the unit safety or unit commander, as appropriate. Theinspector should solicit any additional safety concerns thecommand may have.6. Imminent danger situations discovered during an inspectionshall be brought to the immediate attention of the affectedpersonnel and supervisors, including the commander, fornecessary action.7. The inspector shall provide a written inspection report tothe unit commander of the work center within 10 working days ofthe conclusion of the OSH inspection. This report of inspectionmust describe the procedures followed during the inspection, thefindings which form the basis for issuance of any NAVMC 11400,OSH Deficiency Notice, and any recommendations for correction.If required, an OSH Deficiency Notice shall be issued within 15days of the inspection. The report is exempt from reportscontrol and requires no report control symbol.8. Inspectors shall maintain copies of OSH inspections for 5years after the end of the calendar year in which they wereconducted.7006. POSTING DEFICIENCY NOTICES1.
