13001 MARCOR OSH PROGRAM MANUALAssistance is available from the local medical industrialhygienist. The PPE survey shall be a certification of thehazard assessment <strong>and</strong> include at least the following:a. Work center evaluation.b. Job title or MOS designation of personnel.c. List of specific types of PPE required for jobs (e.g.,chemical resistant gloves, welding gloves, chemical splashresistant goggles, respirator) that will protect the affectedworker from identified hazards. Respiratory protectionrequirements are available from industrial hygiene surveys.d. Name <strong>and</strong> title of person certifying completion of PPEsurvey.e. Dates of PPE survey.2. The ISM shall ensure copies of the written PPE survey reportare provided to the supervisor, comm<strong>and</strong>er, <strong>and</strong> local industrialhygienist.3. Based on the hazard assessment, supervisor shall:a. Select appropriate PPE for affected personnel to usefrom the list in PPE survey.b. Advise affected personnel of PPE selection decisions <strong>and</strong>require its use.c. Ensure PPE selected properly fits affected personnel.13002. POSTING. All areas designated as eye, foot, head, <strong>and</strong>noise hazardous shall be posted with an appropriate warning signas determined by the <strong>safety</strong> manager.13003. TRAINING1. The ISM shall provide training to all Marine Corps personnelwho are required to use PPE as identified by the PPE survey.13-4
