Autunites are known to form compounds with Ca, Mg, Ba, Na, Cu, Fe2 , K, Zn, Mn, Co, Pb,<br />

NH4 Al, and H20. Many synthetic analogs can also be easily formed including Sr and even Li.<br />

The included cation is easily exchangeable in acid solutions but the autunite structure<br />

remains unaffected by the many substitutions.<br />
