Louise C. Hayden<br />

Mrs. Louise Carrie HAYDEN, 65, died Monday at 11 p.m. in the Pontius nursing home,<br />

Fifth and Jefferson streets, were she had been a patient for the past two weeks. Mrs. Hayden, who<br />

resided at 1108 Madison street, had been ill several years.<br />

Born Oct. 27, 1893, in Corning, N.Y., she was the daughter of William and Lena<br />

HARRINGTON ALDRICH. She had resided in <strong>Fulton</strong> county the past 20 years, moving to Akron<br />

from New Jersey in 1929 and to Rochester six years ago. Her marriage was June 23, 1916, at<br />

Montour Falls, N.Y., to Norman HAYDEN, who survives.<br />

Mrs. Hayden was a member of the Montour Falls Methodist church.<br />

Surviving, besides the husband, are her mother, Mrs. Lena ALDRICH, Montour Falls,<br />

N.Y.; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Bette) QUICK, Rochester, and Mrs. Richard (June)<br />

SANDERS, Athens; four sons, Vincent [HAYDEN], Kokomo, George, Jack and Tom<br />

[HAYDEN], all of Rochester; thirteen grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Fred GERSTING,<br />

Buffalo, N.Y.<br />

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home<br />

with the Rev. C. A. UNDERWOOD officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends<br />

may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.<br />

Pearl Manning<br />

Mrs. Luther (Pearl) MANNING, former Rochester resident, died this morning at 7<br />

o’clock in a Buchanan, Mich., nursing home. She had been residing in Buchanan with a daughter,<br />

Mrs. Harold HEETER. <strong>The</strong> body is being returned to this city.<br />

Ruth MacIntyre<br />

Mrs. Ruth C. MacINTYRE, 72, died this morning at 7 o’clock at her home, 1123 Main<br />

street. Death came from a heart ailment, and followed an illness dating from March 28, when she<br />

had suffered a heart attack.<br />

Born Jan. 10, 1887, in Marshall, Mich., she was the daughter of Otto and Anna<br />

SHANNON CAPLE. She had lived in Rochester community all her life except for 30 years’<br />

residence in Puerto Rico, where she was an English teacher in public schools. She graduated from<br />

Rochester high school and from Rochester Normal university.<br />

Her marriage was Nov. 19, 1940, at Knox, to J. D. MacINTYRE who survives. Mrs.<br />

MacIntyre was a member of the Grace Methodist church and D.A.R.<br />

Also surviving are one brother, John CAPLE, Miami; and three nephews, Richard C.<br />

SMITH, Columbia City, Major John KEIM, Fort Sheridan, Ill., and Robert O. SMITH,<br />

Washington, D.C.<br />

Funeral services will be Thursday at 4 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home<br />

with the Rev. Ray MILLS officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may call aftr 4 p.m.<br />

Wednesday at the funeral home. <strong>The</strong> family requests that flowers be omitted and donations made<br />

instead to the heart fnd.
