Funeral rites for Mrs. June Susan WARD, 69, R.R. 2, Macy, will be Wednesday at 1 p.m.<br />
in the Chili Baptist church with the Rev. C. F. GOLDEN officiating. Burial will be in the Chili<br />
cemetery.<br />
Mrs. Ward died at St. Francis hospital, Evanston, Ill., Monday at 3 a.m. after a twomonth<br />
illness.<br />
A resident of the Macy community for 46 years, she and her husband, the late [Homer]<br />
W. WARD, operated the Ward Home Market north of Perrysburg on U.S. 31 for several years.<br />
She was born June 24, 1889, in Perry township, Miami county, the daughter of William and Anna<br />
WARRICK MURPHY.<br />
Her marriage was Feb. 2, 1909. Mr. Ward died July 4, 1955.<br />
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lois Birk, Des Plaines, Ill., and Mrs. Doris STRONG<br />
Twelve Mile, and two grandchildren.<br />
Mrs. Ward was a member of the Denver Brethren church. Friends may call at the<br />
McCain funeral home at U.S. 31 and Ind. 16. <strong>The</strong> body will be taken to the church one hour<br />
before the services.<br />

Arthur C. Grimm<br />
Arthur C. GRIMM, about 69, who resided on the north shore of Lake Manitou during the<br />
summers, died in the Veterans hospital at St. Petersburg, Fla., Saturday night, friends here have<br />
been advised.<br />
Funeral services were held in St. Petersburg today and burial was in Bay Pines cemetery<br />
at that city. <strong>The</strong> Grimms spent their winters at St. Petersburg, residing at 10005 Bay Pines<br />
boulevard, Box 523.<br />
Mr. Grimm had been in ill health, having undergone operations Dec. 29 and Jan.10 at St.<br />
Petersburg.<br />
A retired building contractor, he formerly was employed at the Fansler Lumber company<br />
here. He was a member of the Leroy Shelton American Legion post here.<br />
Surviving are the wife, now in St. Petersburg, one son, Arhur [GRIMM], Jr., South Bend,<br />
and two grandchildren.<br />
Julia Ann Schwanz<br />
Julia Ann SCHWANZ, 10-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pete SCHWANZ of Fort<br />
Wayne, died suddenly at 9 a.m. Tuesday of overwhelming-pneumonia at the Schwanz home.<br />
<strong>The</strong> paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Phil J. SCHWANZ who formerly lived on<br />
the East shore of Lake Manitou and still maintain a summer home here.<br />
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at Fort Wayne at First Presbyterian<br />
church.
