Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Harrison funeral home at<br />

Kewanna for Mrs. Stella Mae FITCH, 61, who died Sunday night at Woodlawn hospital here.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Rev. Henry TAYLOR will officiate at the last rites and burial will be in the I.O.O.F.<br />

cemetery at Kewanna. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.<br />

Born June 16, 1897, in <strong>Fulton</strong> county, she was the daughter of Albert and Minnie MOON<br />

SMITH. She was a member of the Women of the Moose at Peru and of the Baptist church.<br />

Surviving are her husband, Harry FITCH, and her mother, Mrs. Minnie HARDY,<br />

Kewanna.<br />

Wednesday, February 4, <strong>1959</strong><br />

C’Dale C. Miller<br />

Mrs. C’Dale Christine MILLER, 58, died of a heart attack at 10 p.m. Tuesday in<br />

Woodlawn hospital, where she had been admitted only 7 1/2 hours earlier. Death was unexpected,<br />

although Mrs. Miller had been in poor health for 20 years. She resided at 314 West 11th street.<br />

Born May 8, 1900, at Tiffin, O., she was the daughter of L. E. and Maude EGELKRAUT<br />

CRABBS. A retired schoolteacher, she had spent her entire life in the Rochester community<br />

except for 13 years in Elkhart.<br />

She was married in 1939 at Indianapolis to Robert R. MILLER, who died Jan. 3, 1956.<br />

Mrs. Miller was a member of the First Presbyterian church and of Sigma Delta Pi<br />

sorority.<br />

Surviving are one stepson, Burk B. MILLER, Rochester; one sister, Mrs. Betty DOWNS,<br />

Tippecanoe; one brother, Lester CRABBS, Rochester; three step-grandchildren, several nieces and<br />

nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.<br />

Last rites will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with Dr.<br />

Claude YOUNG officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the<br />

funeral home after Thursday noon.<br />

Harry J. Leopold<br />

Harry John LEOPOLD, 81, died Tuesday morning at his home in Culver. Mr. Leopold<br />

had been ill since he fell in an accident at his home Jan. 2.<br />

He was born Feb. 4, 1877, in Pulaski county near Medaryville. In 1901, he was married<br />

to Hulda CASTLEMAN near Monterey.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Leopolds moved to a farm southwest of Culver in 1915, living there for 40 years<br />

before Mr. Leopold retired from farming. In 1955, the Leopolds moved into Culver.<br />

Mr. Leopold was a member of the Grace United church and the Maccabees lodge.<br />

Surviving are the widow, a niece, Mrs. Wilma Van DUYNE, Kewanna, whom the<br />

Leopolds had raised from age two; three grandchildren and several other nieces and nephews.<br />

Two daughters, Phoebe Helen [LEOPOLD], who died in infancy, and Mrs. Gladys <strong>The</strong>lma<br />

HOOVER, who died in 1942, preceded Mr. Leopold in death.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Rev. Dr. Meredith SPRUNGER of the Grace United church will conduct funeral<br />

services there at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, and burial will be in the Leiters Ford I.O.O.F. cemetery.<br />

Friends may call at the Easterday funeral home, Culver.
