Vera Floor<br />
Mrs. Orvan (Vera) FLOOR, 61, Akron, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday at her home after an<br />
illness of nine months. She had spent the majority of her life in and around the Akron community.<br />
Mrs. Floor was born Feb. 30, 1898, in Wabash county, the daughter of Marion and Pearl<br />
LAUTZENHIZER MARTIN. On April 20, 1916, she was married in Akron to Orvan FLOOR,<br />
who survives.<br />
Mrs. Floor was a member of the Lincoln Ladies Aid and attended the Akron Church of<br />
God all her adult life. She was a graduate of Akron high school and had attended Indiana State<br />
Teachers college at Terre Haute.<br />
Surviving besides the widower are seven daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Phyllis) MUNSON,<br />
Warsaw; Mrs. Victor (Frances) SLONAC, Hammond; Mrs. Horace (Norma) BARR, Akron; Mrs.<br />
John (Jennett) SMARZ, Chicago; Mrs. Donald (Cleo) WARREN, Warsaw; Mrs. Roger (Gladys)<br />
GAFF, Akron, and Mrs. Alonzo (Martha) HOWARD, South Bend; three sons, Marion E.<br />
[FLOOR], Hammond; Orvan [FLOOR], Jr., Warsaw, and James R. [FLOOR], Santa Monica, Cal.<br />
Also twenty-one grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Rachel) FLOOR, Silver Lake, and<br />
Mrs. W. D. (Mary) KREAMER, Belvia [Belleview ?], Ill.; and a brother, Marion F. MARTIN,<br />
Wabash. One daughter and five grandchildren preceded Mrs. Floor in death.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Rev. C. B. ROWE of Mishawaka, assisted by the Rev. Harold CONRAD and the<br />
Rev. Walter BLOUGH, will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Akron Church<br />
of God. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery.<br />
Friends may call at the Sheetz funeral home, Akron, between 7 p.m. today and noon<br />
Thursday, when the body will be taken to lie in state at the church.<br />

Della McDougle<br />
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Ditmire funeral home at <strong>Fulton</strong> for<br />
Mrs. Della McDOUGLE, 71, native of <strong>Fulton</strong> county, who died Tuesday noon at the home of her<br />
son, Emerson [McDOUGLE], 27 East Second street, Peru. She had been ill two weeks.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Rev. Gerald KREH, assisted by the Rev. C. W. MONTGOMERY, will officiate.<br />
Burial will be in the <strong>Fulton</strong> cemetery.<br />
<strong>The</strong> body will be taken to the residence 408 West 14th street, Peru, where friends may<br />
call between 10 a.m. Thursday and noon Friday, when the body will be returned to the funeral<br />
home for services.<br />
Mrs. McDougle had lived in Peru since October, moving there from Mexico. She was<br />
born March 7, 1888, near <strong>Fulton</strong>, the daughter of John and Emma BLOOM LEAVELL. She was<br />
married March 14, 1909, in <strong>Fulton</strong> to Clarence McDOUGLE, who died Oct. 30, 1955. She was a<br />
member of the Baptist church.<br />
Surviving are three sons, Vernon and Emerson, both of Peru; Leon [McDOUGLE],<br />
Denver; five daughters, Mrs. Georgie BARNETT, Florida; Mrs. Mabel STEININGER, Auburn;<br />
Mrs. Maxine McDANIEL, Cedar Lake; Mrs. Ellen JOHNSON, Lowell, and Mrs. Delores<br />
WARREN Peru; forty-two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Clyde<br />
LEAVELL, <strong>Fulton</strong>,and two sisters, Mrs. Anna OLIVER, Kewanna, and Mrs. Loyd SHOWLEY,<br />
<strong>Fulton</strong>. A daughter preceded her in death.
