Bertha Burns<br />
Mrs. Bertha E. BURNS, 66, Akron, died this morning at 1 o’clock in Woodlawn hospital,<br />
where she had been a patient two weeks.<br />
Born in Iowa June 6, 1892, she was the daughter of Ryan and Jane CLEMANS<br />
DeLaMATER. She was married Feb. 15, 1952, at Akron to Seldon BURNS, who survives. Mrs.<br />
Burns came to Akron from Spooner, Wis., seven years ago.<br />
Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Herbert LINDEMAN, Endirlen, N.D.; one son,<br />
Roy FOLSCHOW, Minneapolis; six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mae LAGER, Spooner, Wis.,<br />
and several nieces and nephews.<br />
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Sheetz fneral home at Akron with the<br />
Rev. D. L. SLAYBAUGH officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Lake cemetery at LaPorte.<br />
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Tuesday.<br />
Emma Sanders<br />
Mrs. Emma SANDERS, 74, died Saturday in the Westlake hospital at Melrose Park, Ill.<br />
Final rites were held today at Logansport, her former home, and burial was in the Davis cemetery.<br />
Among the survivors are six daughters, including Mrs. Josephine VANATA, R.R. 2,<br />
Kewanna, and Mrs. Vera BRUCE, R.R. 2, Kewanna; one son; twenty-three grandchildren and<br />
twenty-three great-grandchildren.<br />

Florence M. Craig<br />
Mrs. Florence Marie CRAIG, 62, died at 9:14 a.m. today at her home, 225 West Ninth<br />
street. She had been in ill health the past 11 years.<br />
Born Feb. 27, 1896, in Rochester, she was married May 23, 1917, here to Merle Miller<br />
CRAIG. Her parents were Albert H. and Sarah Elizabeth FENIMORE ROSS; she had spent her<br />
lifetime in this community.<br />
Mrs. Craig was a member of the Grace Methodist church and of the Rebekah and Eastern<br />
Star lodges and World War II Mothers.<br />
Surviving are the husband, meter patrolman for the city police department; one daughter,<br />
Mrs. Paul (Maxine) SCHALLER, Indianapolis; one son, Arthur Ross CRAIG, Akron; two<br />
grandchildren, Craig B. and Paula Adele SCHALLER, Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Lee (Zora)<br />
SHARPE, Rochester, and Mrs. Clarence (Mildred) CULP, <strong>Fulton</strong>; one brother, Donald E. ROSS,<br />
Rochester, and numerous nieces and nephews.<br />
Funeral rites will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with<br />
Dr. Claude YOUNG officiating, assisted by the Evergeeen Rebekah lodge. Burial will be in the<br />
I.O.O.F. cemetery here. <strong>The</strong> Eastern Star will give their service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the<br />
funeral home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. today.
