Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Akron Methodist church.<br />

Surviving are three grandchildren, Mrs. Adrain (Mary) COPLEN, Warsaw; Mrs. Robert<br />

(Betty) HOLLAR, Milford, and Robert TAYLOR, Warsaw; and eight great-grandchildren. A son,<br />

Seth [TAYLOR], and two half-brothers preceded her in death.<br />

Funeral rites will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Tom Haupert funeral home at Akron with<br />

the Rev. Claude FAWNS officiating. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call at<br />

the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.<br />

Wilvin R. Long<br />

Last rites will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Mentone Church of Christ for Wilvin R.<br />

LONG, 65, lifetime Newcastle township resident, who died at 12:20 p.m. Monday of a cerebral<br />

hemorrhage. Seriously ill for the past two days, he had been in poor health several years.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Rev. Ralph BURROUS will officiate at the funeral and burial will be in the<br />

Sycamore cemetery. Friends may call at the Johns fneral home in Mentone until 1 p.m. and after<br />

that hour at the residence.<br />

Mr. Long was born April 24, 1896, in Newcastle township, the son of Franklin and Sarah<br />

LONG. He was married June 1, 1917, to Faye EMMONS, who survives. He was a charter<br />

member of the Farm Bureau.<br />

Surviving, besides the wife, are one son, Franklin [LONG], R.R. 2, Rochester; two<br />

daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Louise) ROUTH, Anaheim, Cal., and Mrs. Lloyd (Joan)<br />

HOLLOWPETER, Marion; four grandchildren and one half-brother, Dr. Embry ANDERSON,<br />

Mentone.<br />

Florence D. Fishburn<br />

Mrs. Florence D. FISHBURN, 85, Argos, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Landis<br />

nursing home at Argos of a heart attack.<br />

Born June 29, 1874, in Marshall county, she was the daughter of Daniel and Julia<br />

YEARICK GROSSMAN. She was married at Argos April 21, 1897, to Wade FISHBURN, who<br />

died July 1, 1957.<br />

Mrs. fishburn was a member of the Argos Methodist church.<br />

Surviving are three sons, Donald, Dwight and Doyle [FISHBURN], all of Argos; one<br />

daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Maurine) MURPHY, Plymouth, five grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren;<br />

two sisters, Mrs. Avis HALL, Santa Monica, Cal., and Mrs. Mary RICHEY,<br />

Washington, D.C.; and two brothers, D. Ray GROSSMAN, Elkhart, and Ira GROSSMAN, Argos.<br />

Last rites will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Argos Methodist church with the Rev. E. J.<br />

PETERS officiating, assisted by the Rev. Elwood ANDERSON. Burial will be in Oak Hill<br />

cemetery at Plymouth. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Grossman funeral home in Argos<br />

until noon Friday, when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state.
