Rev. Henry F. Bulger<br />

Funeral services and burial were conducted this afternoon at the Kewanna Church of<br />

Christ for the Rev. Henry Floyd BULGER, 71, retired Christian church minister, who died<br />

Saturday at 10 a.m. in his Kewanna home. Burial was in the Kewanna I.O.O.F. cemetery.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Rev. Bulger had served in pulpits at Kewanna, Burnettsville, Francesville and<br />

Medaryville.<br />

Born June 29, 1888, in Davies county, he was the son of John and Mary DICKERSON<br />

BULGER. He had lived in Kewanna since 1921 and was a member of the Kewanna Masonic and<br />

Eastern Star lodges. He was married to the former Ruth WHARTON on July 14, 1930. She is the<br />

only immediate survivor.<br />

Nannie E. Sparks<br />

Mrs. Nannie Elizabeth SPARKS, 82, died Tuesday at 4 p.m. in her home in Kewanna.<br />

She had served as postmistress for Kewanna from 1926 to 1933.<br />

Born Dec. 12, 1876, in Kosciusko county, she was the daughter of John and Sarah<br />

MILLER HARTMAN. Her husband, Charles SPARKS, died in 1926. Mrs. Sparks was a member<br />

of the Methodist church and was a past matron of the Eastern Star.<br />

Surviving are four children, Lee MOON, South Bend, Ersa ENYART, Kewanna, Mildred<br />

TOMLINSON and Justin SPARKS, both of South Bend; twelve grandchildren; twenty greatgrandchildren,<br />

and four great-great-grandchildren.<br />

Last rites will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Harrison funeral home at Royal Center with<br />

the Rev. Charles COOK officiating. Burial will be in the Kewanna I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends<br />

may call at the funeral home after noon Thursday.<br />

Daniel Biddinger<br />

Daniel BIDDINGER, 83, Argos, died Friday morning at Parkview hospital in Plymouth<br />

following a long illness.<br />

Born in <strong>Fulton</strong> county Oct. 31, 1875, he was the son of Elias and Mary CARR<br />

BIDDINGER. A Marshall county resident most of his life, he was married in 1898 to Minnie<br />

UMBAUGH, who survives.<br />

Mr. Biddinger has been employed by the Schlosser Brothers Creamery many years and<br />

recently by the Ohio Oil company.<br />

Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Chloe) LEWIS, Argos; seven<br />

grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. Another daughter, Mary GOHEEN, preceded him<br />

in death.
