Terry Leroy Thompson<br />

Terry Leroy THOMPSON, infant son of Orvin and Sherry BABCOCK THOMPSON,<br />

died at 2 a.m. today in Woodlawn hospital. He was born at 5 p.m. Sunday. <strong>The</strong> parents reside on<br />

R.R. 2, Rochester.<br />

<strong>The</strong> paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. <strong>The</strong>odore THOMPSON, Burket; the maternal<br />

grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Noble BABCOCK, R.R. 2, Rochester. Graveside rites were held at<br />

1 p.m. today in the Mentone cemetery with the Rev. Claude DOTSON officiating. <strong>The</strong> Tom<br />

Haupert funeral home of Akron was in charge of rites.<br />

Jesse Murphy<br />

Jesse MURPHY, 72, RR. 2, Rochester, was found dead in his home by his sister, Mrs.<br />

Hazel ZIMMERMAN, about 5 p.m. Sunday. Cause of death, which came at 3:45 p.m., has not<br />

been determined yet by Dr. Howard ROWE, <strong>Fulton</strong> county coroner.<br />

Born March 13, 1887, in Miami county, Mr. Murphy had lived in the Rochester vicinity<br />

most of his life. He apparently was in good health before his death. He was the son of Alpheus<br />

and Clara RALSTON MURPHY.<br />

Mr. Murphy was a laborer by occupation.<br />

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. ZIMMERMAN, Akron; Mrs. Gertrude BECK,<br />

Rochester, and Mrs. Lulu BRYANT, Knox; two brothers, Benjamin [MURPHY], Rochester, and<br />

E. Byron [MURPHY], South Bend, and several nieces and nephews.<br />

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home here with<br />

the Rev. George CRANE officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends<br />

may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.<br />

John Sriver<br />

John SRIVER, 84, Akron, died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday at his home after a week’s illness<br />

following a stroke.<br />

Born Oct. 16, 1875, in <strong>Fulton</strong> county, he had spent his lifetime in and around Akron. His<br />

parents were Isaac and Caroline REED SRIVER. His marriage was at Akron in 1897 to Mary<br />

Emaline MERLEY, who died in 1934. His second marriage was in 1940 to Ellise HIGHLAND.<br />

Surviving are the wife; one daughter, Mrs. Jewell (Nondus) FITES, R.R. 2, Macy; five<br />

sons, Estil, Orville and Garland [SRIVER], all of Akron, Claude [SRIVER], Mishawaka, and<br />

Harry [SRIVER], Talma; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. He was the last of nine<br />

children in his family.<br />

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. CST in the Sheetz funeral home with<br />

the Rev. D. L. SLAYBAUGH officiating. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call<br />

after 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.<br />

Rebecca E. Robinson<br />

Mrs. Rebecca E. ROBINSON, Culver, died early Sunday in the Landis nursing home at<br />

Argos after a three-year illness. She was 99 years of age.<br />

Born west of Culver on Oct. 22, 1860, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William<br />

VOREIS and had spent her entire life in <strong>Fulton</strong> and Marshall counties. She was married to Elijah<br />

ROBINSON, who died in 1929.<br />

Mrs. Robinson was a member of the First Christian church of Rochester.<br />

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edgar (Fern) FENIMORE and Mrs. Edgar (Zetta)<br />

SHAW, both of Culver; one son, Harold [ROBINSON], Culver; nine grandchildren; twelve
