Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m in the First Presbyterian church with the Rev.<br />
Donald DECKER, Garfield Park, Ill., officiating, assisted by the Rev. James SCHUMACHER.<br />
Burial will be in the Richland Center I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Sunday<br />
and until noon Monday at Foster and Good funeral home and at the church from 1-2 p.m. Monday.<br />

Arthur Deamer<br />
Funeral services were conducted this afternoon in Grand Rapids, Mich., for Arthur<br />
DEAMER, 83, a former superintendent of <strong>Fulton</strong> county schools who moved from the county<br />
about 30 years ago.<br />
Mr. Deamer, who taught school in Leiters Ford and Talma, suffered a stroke<br />
Thanksgiving Day and died Friday.<br />
<strong>The</strong> son of Aaron and Margaret DEAMER, who lived in Newcastle township, Mr.<br />
Deamer was county superintendent of schools in 1904, 1905 and 1906.<br />
Among the survivors are the widow, the former Kate HAIMBAUGH of Newcastle<br />
township; a nephew, George DEAMER, Jr.; R.R. 5, rochester; a brother-in-law, Porter<br />
HAIMBAUGH, R.R. 1, Rochester; four children, and several nephews.<br />

Arthur Deamer<br />
Arthur DEAMER, 83, for whom funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon,<br />
lived in Cedar Rapids, Ia., rather than Grand Rapids, Mich., as previously reported.<br />
A former <strong>Fulton</strong> county superintendent of schools, Mr. Deamer suffered a stroke<br />
Thanksgiving Day and died Friday.<br />
Services were conducted in Cedar Rapids.<br />
Josephine Shaffer<br />
Miss Josephine SHAFFR, 88, Akron, died at 6:45 a.m. Today in the Miller nursing home<br />
here. She had been in ill health for 16 months.<br />
Born Aug. 7, 1871, in Akron, she had lived in that vicinity all her life except for 20 years<br />
in Chicago. She was the daughter of William and Julia ANDERSON SHAFFER, the last survivor<br />
of four daughters.<br />
Miss Shaffer’s occupation was practical nurse. She attended the Akron Church of God.<br />
A cousin, Elsie YOUNG of Mollola, Ore., survives.<br />
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Sheetz funeral home at Akron with the Rev.<br />
Harold CONRAD officiating. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call at the<br />
funeral home after noon Wednesday.
