A resident of this community his entire life, Mr. Leiter was a retired salesman. He was a<br />
member of the Grace Metodist church, Masonic lodge of Rochester and the Leiters Ford I.O.O.F.<br />
lodge.<br />
Suriving are one son, Albert C. LEITER, Gurnee, Ill.; two daughters, Miss Florence<br />
LEITER, Cedar Rapids, Ia., and Mrs. Hazel BEMAN, Winnetka, Ill.; four grandchildren; two<br />
great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs Mollie LEITER, Rocester, and two brothers, Levi [LEITER],<br />
Rochester, and Edward [LEITER], Bethlehem, Pa.<br />
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with<br />
Dr. Claude YOUNG officiating, assisted by the Rochester Masonic order. Burial will be in the<br />
Leiters Ford I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.<br />
Sylvia Iliff<br />
Mrs. Sylvia ILIFF, 41, former Rochester resident, died at 10:12 a.m. Saturday at Dukes<br />
hospital, Peru, after an illness of eight years. Mrs. Iliff had been a resident of Peru for the last<br />
seven years.<br />
She was born May 21, 1917, in Floyd county, Kentucky, the daughter of Erve and Alva<br />
WRIGHT BRADLEY. Her first marriage was to Ralph WHORL and in 1941 she was married to<br />
John ILFFF who died in 1957.<br />
Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Erve BRADLEY, Rochester; two sons, John Ivan<br />
ILIFF, Jr., and William BRADLEY, both of Rochester; three daughters, Alva May and Linda Sue<br />
ILIFF, both of Rochester, and Mrs. James TURPEN, Peru; one grandchild, four brothers, Luther<br />
BRADLEY, Harold BRADLEY and William BRADLEY, all of Rochester, and Henry<br />
BRADLEY, Rensselaer; and three sisters, Mrs. Richard DAWSON and Mrs. Dorothy KRISHEL,<br />
both of Rochester, and Mrs. Joseph SMITH, St. Joe.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Rev. David ENGLAND will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the<br />
Drake-Flowers funeral home, Peru, where friends may call. Burial will be at Mt. Hope cemetery,<br />
Peru.<br />

Retta Triplet<br />
Mrs. Retta HACKER TRIPLET, 85, of Hibbard, died at 5 p.m. Monday at the Landis<br />
nursing home, Argos, after an illness of one year. Mrs. Triplet was born Feb. 22, 1874, at Culver,<br />
the daugher of Hamilton and Mary Jane DINSMORE HISSONG. She was first married to John<br />
HACKER, who died in June, 1933. In November, 1946, she was married to Alton TRIPLET, who<br />
survives. Mrs. Triplet spent the majority of her life in the Poplar Grove and Hibbard communities.<br />
Surviving besides the widower, a step-son, Forest TRIPLET, R.R. 1, Culver; five stepdaughters,<br />
Mrs. Clarence (Carrie) MYERS and Mrs. Nellie BICKLE, both of Plymouth; Mrs. Eva<br />
HOUGHTON, Culver; Mrs. Sylvia BUSH, Claypool, and Mrs. Anna May CURTIS, Tucson,<br />
Ariz.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lucy VOREIS, and a brother,<br />
Lawrence HISSONG, Argos.<br />
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Poplar Grove Methodist<br />
church by the Rev. W. Ray KUHN, Hebron, assisted by the Rev. E. J. PETERS, Argos. Burial<br />
will be in the Poplar Grove cemetery.<br />
Friends may call at the Grossman funeral home, Argos, from 7 p.m. today until noon<br />
Thursday. <strong>The</strong> body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral.
