Elizabeth J. Crane<br />
Mrs. Elizabeth Jane CRANE, 81, a native of England, died at 12:30 p.m. today in the<br />
Miller nursing home here, where she had been a patient for the past five weeks. Mrs. Crane, who<br />
resided at 624 <strong>Fulton</strong> avenue, had been in ill health the past two years.<br />
Born May 23, 1878, in Northumberland county, England, she had resided in Rochester<br />
for 25 years. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph SCOTT. She was married at Morpeth,<br />
England, to the Rev. George R. CRANE, who survives.<br />
Mrs. Crane was a member of the Independent Fundamental Churches of Christ of<br />
America and had been engaged in evangelistic services many years.<br />
Surviving, besides the husband, are one niece, Bessie LANGLEY, St. Thomas, Ontario,<br />
and numerous other relatives.<br />
Rites will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the Rev.<br />
Paul GRANT of Logansport officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery here. Friends<br />
may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.<br />
Roy A. Hubbard<br />
Roy Alvin HUBBARD, 59, died Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in his home near<br />
Tiosa. He had been in failing health the past year and had been seriously ill since Monday<br />
morning.<br />
Born Nov. 3, 1899, near Tippecanoe, he was the son of James and Lottie NUELL<br />
HUBBARD. He had spent practically all his life in Richland township. Mr. Hubbard was a<br />
member of the Brethren church at Tiosa. His marriage was April 19, 1919, at Rochester, to Lois<br />
ARTER, who survives.<br />
Also surviving are one son, Fred B. HUBBARD, Rochester; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia<br />
A. SURGUY, Warsaw, and Mrs. Bonnie Jean SHAFER, Akron; six grandchildren and two sisters,<br />
Mrs. Eva MIDDLETON, Argos, and Mrs. Pauline STARR, Mentone.<br />
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home, where last<br />
rites will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. <strong>The</strong> Rev. C. J. MOWRER will officiate and burial will be in<br />
the Reichter cemetery near Talma.<br />

Delver C. Watts<br />
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Chase-Miller chapel at Logansport for<br />
Delver C. WATTS, 76, retired Kewanna railroader who died Tuesday at 1:50 p.m. after a long<br />
illness. <strong>The</strong> Rev. H. H. HASHBERGER will officiate at the rites and burial will be in the Mt.<br />
Hope cemetery.<br />
Friends may call at the chapel after 7 p.m. today.<br />
A native of White county, Mr. Watts was born Dec. 2, 1882, the son of William and<br />
Miranda HOLLIS WATTS. He was married in Tipton county to Helen DeWITT on Nov. 26,<br />
1913. She preceded him in death, along with one son.<br />
Surviving are three sons, Dale [WATTS], Logansport, Kenneth [WATTS], R.R. 2,<br />
Kewanna; ten grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Goldie SEUSSEL, St. Petersburg, Fla.
