Emma L. Agnew<br />

Mrs. Emma Loraine AGNEW, 91, who lived with her daughter, Ethel Troutman, R.R. 4,<br />

Rochester, died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at her daughter’s home. Mrs. Agnew had spent most of her<br />

life in Winamac.<br />

Born Nov. 8, 1867 in Cass county, Mrs. Agnew was the daughter of Jasper and Amanda<br />

BROWN. She was married to Frank AGNEW, who died Jan. 27, 1933. She was a member of the<br />

Winamac Christian church and a charter member of the Monroe Township No. 1 Home<br />

Economics club.<br />

Surviving are four daughters, Faye SMITH, Winamac, Ruth SAYLOR, Las Vegas, Nev.,<br />

Mrs. Lucy CULLEN, Helena, Mont., and Ethel TROUTMAN; two sons, Gordon [AGNEW],<br />

Santa Cruz, Cal., and Sam [AGNEW], Culver; twenty-nine grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren<br />

and great-great-grandchildren.<br />

Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Fry and Lange funeral home at Winamac. <strong>The</strong><br />

Rev. C. D. BARRINGER will officiate and burial will be in the Crown Hill cemetery at Winamac.<br />

Lucas Snyder<br />

Lucas SNYDER, 77, father of Harold SNYDER of Rochester, died at his home in<br />

Toledo, O., Tuesday night following a year’s illness. He had resided in Toledo his entire life.<br />

Also surviving are the wife; four other sons including Lee SNYDER, Winamac; two<br />

daughters and one brother. Funeral servies and burial will be Friday at Toldeo.<br />

Thursday, January 22, <strong>1959</strong><br />

Faye Wright<br />

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Foster & Good funeral home for Miss<br />

Faye WRIGHT, 73, 1025 Madison street, who died Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. in her home of a heart<br />

ailment. She had been in ill health six months.<br />

Dr. Claude YOUNG will officiate at the last rites and burial will be in the Reichter<br />

cemetery six miles northeast. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.<br />

Born March 5, 1885, in Richland township, she was the daughter of William and Amanda<br />

SWINEHART WRIGHT. A lifelong resident of this community, Miss Wright was for many years<br />

a stnographer for the local law firm of Holman, Bernetha and Miller. She had been admitted to the<br />

State Bar Association.<br />

She was a member of the Grace Methodist church and the American Legion Auxiliary.<br />

Surviving are four sistrs, Miss Lefa WRIGHT, Mrs. Ruth COPPEDGE and Miss Rena<br />

WRIGHT, all of 1025 Madison street, and Mrs. Mazie SEE, Oakland, Cal.; three nieces and three<br />

nephews. Her parents and two sisters preceded her in death.
