Harry Phillips<br />

Harry PHILLIPS, of near Bourbon, died at 2:20 a.m. today at the Murphy Medical<br />

cEnter, Warsaw, after an illness of several months. He is survived by his wife and several<br />

children.<br />

Mrs. Carl PHILLIPS, secretary at Rochester high school, is a daughter-in-law.<br />

Funeral services will be Wednesday at the E.U.B. church in Bourbon.<br />

Tuesday, October 20, <strong>1959</strong><br />

Charles H. Long<br />

Charles H. LONG, 79, R.R. 3, Argos, was found dead in his home six miles southwest of<br />

Argos at 7 p.m. Monday. <strong>The</strong> Marshall county coroner said Mr. Long died of a heart attack,<br />

possibly early Sunday night.<br />

Neighbors of Mr. Long, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd SEE, noticed there were no lights burning in<br />

his home after dark Monday, so they called his niece, Mrs. Owen SMITH. <strong>The</strong> three went to the<br />

Long house and found him dead in his bed.<br />

A lifelong resident of the Argos vicinity, Mr. Long was born in Marshall county July 28,<br />

1880, to Joseph and Rebecca BELL LONG. On Nov. 26 1910, he was married to Actie<br />

ZOLMAN, who died Jan. 12, 1919. Mr. Long, a retired farmer, was the last of seven children in<br />

his family.<br />

Surviving besides Mrs. SMITH, of R.R. 3, Argos, are two nephews, Otto LONG and<br />

Neal LONG, South Bend.<br />

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Grossman funeral home at Argos. <strong>The</strong> Rev.<br />

Harry CLAYBAUGH retired minister of Argos, will officiate and burial will be in the Richland<br />

Center I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.<br />

Wednesday, October 21, <strong>1959</strong><br />

Anna Gray<br />

Mrs. Anna GRAY, <strong>Fulton</strong>, wife of William H. GRAY, died at 11 a.m. today in St. Joseph<br />

hospital at Logansport. <strong>The</strong> body will be taken to the Ditmire funeral home in <strong>Fulton</strong>, where<br />

funeral arrangements will be made.<br />

Thursday, October 22, <strong>1959</strong><br />

R. C. Fansler<br />

Last rites will be Friday at 2 p.m. CDT in Coldwater, Mich., for R. C. “Buck”<br />

FANSLER, 48, a former resident of <strong>Fulton</strong> county. He died suddenly Wednesday morning of a<br />

heart attack in his home at Coldwater.<br />

Funeral services will be held at the Jutnam funeral home in Coldwater.<br />

One of a family of 15 children, he was the son of Steven and Lena FANSLER of Bruce<br />

Lake.<br />

Surviving are the wife; one son and three daughters; five brothers, Arthur and Earl<br />

FANSLER, both of Rochester; William FANSLER, Royal Center; Gilbert [FANSLER],<br />

Milwaukee, and Lester [FANSLER], Gary; five sisters, Mrs. Mary CHAMBERS, Logansport;<br />

Mrs. Bertha ZEIDERS, Niles, Mich.; Miss Emma FANSLER, Logansport; Mrs. Viola<br />

CLAWSON, Medaryville and Mrs. Amy CRABB, Kewana.
