Music was <strong>Fulton</strong> county’s third traffic fatality of the year.<br />

<strong>The</strong> body was taken to the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home and today was taken to<br />

Paintsville, Ky., where services are to be conducts.<br />

Mary L. Barnhisel<br />

Mary L. BARNHISEL, 94, 215 West Ninth street, died at 12:05 a.m. today in the Miller<br />

nursing home, where she had been a patient for four months. She had been in failing health three<br />

years.<br />

Mrs. Barnhisel, who had lived in Rochestr almost all her life since the age of three, was<br />

an active member of the Rochester E.U.B. church and a lifetime member of the W.C.T.U.<br />

She was born in Lycoming county, Pa., May 24, 1865, the daughter of Jacob and Harriett<br />

WALTERS NEFF. Her first marriage was on March 4, 1896, to John MULLICAN, who died in<br />

1910. On Oct. 13, 1913, she married John BARNHISEL, who died in 1942.<br />

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lawson (Margaret) BRUNTON, Morocco; two sisters,<br />

Mrs. Emma HAIMBAUGH and Mrs. Addie SANDERS, Rochester; two brothers, Frank [NEFF],<br />

Pateros, Wash., and Floyd [NEFF], Fort Wayne; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Melissa WISE, Greentown;<br />

a stepson, Ezra BARNHISEL, Huntington; eight step-grandchildren. A daughter, a son, four<br />

brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.<br />

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Foster & Good funeral home with the Rev.<br />

Kenneth FOULKE officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may<br />

call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.<br />

Paul E. Winters<br />

Paul E. WINTERS, 59, 501 Indiana avenue, died Tuesday at 7 p.m. in his home of a heart<br />

ailment. He had been seriously ill for two months and in failing health the past four years.<br />

Mr. Winters formerly was employed at the Main Street cafe.<br />

Born June 4, 1900, in Kosciusko county, he was the son of Edward and Mary BRUNNER<br />

WINTERS. He had lived in Rochester most of his life. His marriage was Oct. 27, 1941, at South<br />

Bend to Delia ROE.<br />

Surviving are the wife; four children, Brian [WINTERS], 18; Jackie Paul [WINTERS],<br />

17; Penny Kay [WINTERS], 15, and Susan Ann [WINTERS], 9, all at home; and three sisters,<br />

Mrs. Beulah RICHARDS, Crescent City, Fla.; Mrs. Ruth FELTY, Logansport, and Mrs. Carrie<br />

CORRELL, Peru.<br />

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with<br />

the Rev. Kenneth FOULKE officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery.<br />

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.<br />

Albert H. Carithers<br />

Albert H. CARITHERS, 77, died early today in his sleep at his home two miles southeast<br />

of Argos. Death came from a heart ailment.<br />

Born Oct. 19., 1882, in Richland township, he was the son of Hiram and Melissa<br />

COLLINS CARITHERS, who owned the former Kentucky Stock Farm. He had lived the past 40<br />

years near Argos. His first marriage was in 1904 to Clara McALEXANDER, who died in 1906.<br />

He was married in 1918 to Altha WILSON, who survives.<br />

Mr. Carithers, a farmer and carpenter, was a member of the Argos Methodist church.<br />

Surviving, Besides the wife, are three daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Irene) WALKER,
