Betty Lou [NEWGENT], at home; two brothers, Don and Clyde [NEWGENT], Greencastle; and<br />

six sisters, Mrs. Floyd STODDARD, Mrs. Willard CLODFELTER and Mrs. Claude STEWART,<br />

all of Greencastle, Mrs. Franklin FORD, Roachdale, Mrs. Dale EUBANKS, Indianapolis, and<br />

Mrs. Ermal KALEY, Plymouth.<br />

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Harrison funeral home at<br />

Kewanna. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.<br />

Millie Borton<br />

Last rites have been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Forest G. Hay funeral<br />

home at South Bend for Mrs. Millie BORTON, 72, of that city, who died at 5:55 p.m. in her home,<br />

718 East Wayne street. She had been ill since last September.<br />

Mrs. Borton was a native of <strong>Fulton</strong> county, being born Dec. 17, 1886. She moved to<br />

South Bend from Kewanna in 1925. Mrs. Borton was a member of the Mothers of World War II.<br />

Surviving are the husband, Earl R. BORTON; one daughter, Mrs. Clifford BATSON,<br />

Granger; three sons, Joe E. ROBINSON, Miami; Paul E. ROBINSON, and Vories J. ROBINSON,<br />

both of Mishawaka; two step-children, Mrs. Clarence HENSEL, South Bend, and Russell E.<br />

BORTON, Santa Ana, Cal.; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.<br />

Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery.<br />

Cora E. Heckathorn<br />

Cora Edith HECKATHORN, 83, Macy, died Monday at 4:10 p.m. in Woodlawn hospital<br />

here following a nine-day illness.<br />

A native of <strong>Fulton</strong> county, Mrs. Heckathorn was born June 17, 1875, the daughter of<br />

Frank and Sara Jane NIXON HARTMAN. She was married March 30, 1893, to Henry<br />

HECKATHORN, who died Oct. 14, 1955.<br />

Mrs. Heckathorn had lived in Macy the past 10 years, moving there from <strong>Fulton</strong> county.<br />

She was a member of the Macy Methodist church.<br />

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Alta EYTCHESON, <strong>Fulton</strong>; Mrs. Edna PRATT and<br />

Mrs. Goldie BAKER, both of Macy; three sons, Lester [HECKATHORN], R.R. 4, Rochester;<br />

Kirch [HECKATHORN], Nyona Lake, and Kenneth [HECKATHORN], <strong>Fulton</strong>; twelve<br />

grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Esta HARTMAN, Macy, and one sister,<br />

Mrs. Eva SOUTHERTON, Macy.<br />

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Macy Methodist church with the<br />

Rev. Richard SUMMER officiating. Burial will be in Plainview cemetery. Friends may call at the<br />

McCain funeral home, junction of U.S. 31 and Ind. 16 near Denver, or at the church one hour<br />

preceding the service.<br />

Stanley Nelson<br />

Funeral services were held this afternoon near Silver Lake for Stanley NELSON, 25, of<br />

near Pierceton, who was killed in a two-car crash Sunday on Ind. 13 just west of Liberty Mills in<br />

Wabash county. He was the nephew of Mrs. Orville HARTZLER, 1121 Washington boulevard.<br />

Operator of the Mentone Co-op Feed Mill, Nelson died from injuries suffered when his<br />

car collided with another operated by Paul LEWIS, Jr., 29, Marion. Lewis, his iwfe and their two<br />

children were not seriously hurt.
