Mrs. John H. Johnson<br />

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the North Liberty Methodist church for<br />

Mrs. John H. JOHNSON, former Rochester resident, who died at Fremont, Mich., Tuesday night.<br />

She resided at White Cloud, Mich.<br />

Surviving are four sons, Harry and Lewis [JOHNSON], both of Rochester; Wayne<br />

[JOHNSON], North Liberty, and Worth [JOHNSON], Chicago, and five daughters, Mrs. Floyd<br />

(Marjorie) THOMAS and Mrs. Robert (Mary) WAGONER, both of Rochester; Mrs. Cecil<br />

(Mabel) HAINES, Nappanee; Mrs. Harold (Genevieve) BRYANT, Eau Claire, Wis., and Mrs.<br />

Kenneth (Daisy) DOAN, North Liberty.<br />

Burial will be at North Liberty.<br />

Dora B. Steinke<br />

Mrs. Dora B. STEINKE, 78, died suddenly Wednesday afternoon at her home near<br />

Kewanna.<br />

Born near Crawfordsville on March 10, 1881, she was the daughter of B.N. and Cerilda<br />

BOOHER GRIMES. She was married Dec. 19, 1900 to Charles STEINKE, who survives.<br />

Also surviving are three sons, Jess Van CLEAVE, Waukegan, Ill.; Carl STEINKE, Pekin,<br />

Ill., and Ralph STEINKE, Romeo, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Florence BROWN, Kewanna, and<br />

Mrs. Bessie McCLAIN, Pekin, Ill.; fourteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. One<br />

son, Leo [STEINKE], preceded her in death.<br />

Mrs. Steinke was a member of the Prairie Grove E.U.B. church.<br />

Rites are pending at the Harrison funeral home in Kewanna, where friends may call after<br />

noon Friday.<br />

Sarah Reid<br />

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah “Sadie” REID, 91, a native of Akron and former resident<br />

of Rochester, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, rather than at 10 a.m. as previously announced.<br />

Rites will be conducted at the Moyer-Haupert funeral home in Akron and burial will be<br />

in the Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery. <strong>The</strong> Rev. D. L. SLAYBAUGH will officiate.<br />

Rosea Miller<br />

Mrs. Charles M. (Rosea) MILLER, [88], who lived in Akron until about three years ago,<br />

died at 12:45 a.m. today at the Lee Memorial hospital in Dowagiac, Mich.<br />

She had lived with her son, Ernest [FLOOR], in Dowagiac the last three years.<br />

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Sheetz funeral home in Akron.<br />

Stella M. Parkington<br />

Mrs. Stella M. PARKINGTON, 79, Kokomo, aunt of Mrs. Ray (Della) FULTZ of<br />

Rochester, died Wednesday morning at her home after more than a year’s illness.<br />

Born near Rochester on Sept. 8, 1879, she was the daughter of Frank and Edna CRIPE<br />

DOWNS. In 1906, she married Charles E. PARKINGTON of the Parkington Outdoor<br />

Advertising company. She was a member of the Presbyterian church in Kokomo.<br />

Surviving besides Mrs. FULTZ, are the husband and several cousins of Rochester.<br />

Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Long funeral home at Kokomo. Burial will be<br />

in the Crown Point cemetery at Kokomo.
