Herman W. Ault<br />

Herman W. AULT, 65, died at 11:45 a.m. today at his home in Argos. Mr. Ault had been<br />

ill some time with heart trouble. <strong>The</strong> body was taken to the Grossman funeral home, Argos.<br />

Funeral rites are incomplete.<br />

Funeral rites for Herman W. AULT, 65, Argos, who died of a heart attack Thursday at<br />

11:45 a.m. in his home, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Argos Christian church.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Rev. Paul HALBERT will officiate and burial will be in the Culver Masonic<br />

cemetery. Friends may call at the Grossman funeral home at Argos after 7 p.m. today until noon<br />

Sunday. <strong>The</strong> body will lie in state at the church an hour before the services.<br />

Mr. Ault had been in failing health the past three years. A retired farmer, he had lived in<br />

Argos 16 years and also had worked as a truck driver for the Gafill oil company. He farmed for<br />

25 years in the Culver community.<br />

Born near Richland Center June 27, 1893, he was the son of John and Mary AULT. He<br />

was married Dec. 25, 1915, at Culver to Rose Ann CROMLEY, who survives.<br />

He was a member and deacon of the Argos Congregational Christian church.<br />

Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Lloyd HOSIMER, Beach Grove; Mrs. Everett<br />

RUSSELL, Rochester; Mrs. John McVEY, Knox, and Mrs. John HITTLE, Motley, Minn.; one<br />

son, Norman [AULT], Argos; his father, John AULT; nineteen grandchildren; five brothers,<br />

Howard [AULT], Rochester; Ralph [AULT], R.R. 4, Plymoth; Harry [AULT], Chicago; Clarence<br />

[AULT], Argos, and Eldon [AULT], Plymouth. One daughter, Mrs. Anna May WILFERT, died<br />

in 1948.<br />

Saturday, March 7, <strong>1959</strong><br />

Orvel E. Brindle<br />

Orvel E. BRINDLE, 52, R.R. 2, Macy, died at 12:40 a.m. today at Woodlawn hospital<br />

after an illness of several years. He had spent most of his life in the Macy vicinity.<br />

Born in Wabash county on April 8, 1906, he was the son of Reuben and Ida May<br />

RAYMER BRINDLE. In 1923, he was married to Ethel M. CATTIN.<br />

Mr. Brindle was a member of the Macy Christian church and was a retired employee of<br />

the Lee Furniture company of Peru.<br />

Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Ernest ZINN, Peru; two sons, Edward and<br />

Richard [BRINDLE], both of Peru; a brother, Virgil [BRINDLE], Peru; a sister, Mrs. Victor<br />

ROBINSON, Peru, and several grandchildren. A half-brother, two half-sisters, and a foster sister,<br />

preceded him in death.<br />

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Drake-Flowers funeral home in Peru with the<br />

Rev. I. T. RODGERS officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Hope cemetery at Peru. Friends<br />

may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Monday.
