great-grandchildren. A daughter preceded her in death.<br />

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Ditmire funeral home in <strong>Fulton</strong> with the Rev.<br />

William KEITH officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn cemetery at Mexico. Friends may<br />

call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday.<br />

Janice Lynn VANATTA, three-month-old daughter of Donald and Evelyn SIDERS<br />

VANATTA, Logansport, former residents of near Kewanna, died at 11 p.m. Wednesday in the St.<br />

Joseph hospital at Logansport. Cause of death is undetermined. <strong>The</strong> infant was ill two days.<br />

Janice Lynn was born in St. Joseph hospital last May 23. Her parents moved to<br />

Logansport about a year ago.<br />

Surviving besides the parents are two brothers, Danny and Alan [VANATTA], and two<br />

sisters, Linda and Nancy [VANATTA], all at home; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.<br />

Henry VANATTA, R.R. 2, Kewanna, and the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence<br />

SIDERS, R.R. 2, Kewanna.<br />

Services will be at the Ditmire funeral home in <strong>Fulton</strong> at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will be<br />

in the <strong>Fulton</strong> cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.<br />

Celia Shelton<br />

Mrs. Mary Celia SHELTON, 67, 301 Main street, died suddenly at 2:45 a.m. today in her<br />

home of a heart attack. She had suffered from a heart ailment the past 20 years.<br />

Born May 16, 1892, at Pontiac, Ill., she was the daughter of Michael and Charlotte<br />

MURPHY FOX. Her parents died when she was six years of age and she was raised by foster<br />

parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. David SMITH, who lived east of Rochester. She came to Rochester<br />

55 years ago from Paxton, Ill.<br />

Her marriage was on Aug. 14, 1919, in Rochester, to Ray SHELTON, who survives.<br />

Mrs. Shelton was a member of the St. Joseph church, the Rosary and Altar Society,<br />

NCCW of the Catholic church, was a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary, a charter<br />

member of the Onawa club and belonged to the Radio club.<br />

Surviving, besides the husband, are one son, James [SHELTON], San Jose, Cal.; three<br />

grandchildren; several nieces, including Mrs. Albertus Van DIEN and Mrs. Donald POLK, both of<br />

Rochester; two sisters, Mrs. Otto POLLISCHECK, Muskatine, Ia., and Mrs. Harry SHEKEY,<br />

Kankakee, Ill.; and one brother, Hugh FOX, Rockford, Ill. One son, two brothers and one sister<br />

preceded her in death.<br />

Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the St. Joseph church here with Msgr. J.<br />

SHALL of St. Vincent’s church in Logansport officiating, assisted by Father George LANNING<br />

of the St. Joseph church. <strong>The</strong> Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday in the Foster & Good<br />

funeral home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday.
