Lyle Leroy Williamson<br />
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Metea Baptist church for Lyle Leroy<br />
WILLIAMSON, 23, of near Metea, who was killed instantly Wednesday morning when the<br />
tractor-trailer he was driving crashed down an embankment on U.S. 41, nine miles north of<br />
Rockville.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Rev. Dwight PATTERSON will officiate at the rites with the Rev. Lincoln LEHOU<br />
officiating. Burial will be in the Metea cemetery. Friends may call at the Ditmire funeral home in<br />
<strong>Fulton</strong>.<br />
Williamson was driving a truck owned by Holly Sales, Logansport. He was enroute to<br />
Logansport with a load of propane gas when the truck apparently went out of control on a curve.<br />
It turned over on its side, slid through a guard rail on the left side of the road and went down a 15foot<br />
embankment.<br />
<strong>The</strong> tractor cab separated from the trailer, caught fire and Williamson’s body was burned<br />
badly. It was believed that he was dead before the fire broke out. <strong>The</strong> propane gas did not ignite.<br />
Williamson resided a mile north of Metea on Ind. 25. He was born Sept. 4, 1935, in Cass<br />
county, the son of Don and Erma TABLER WILLIAMSON. He was a graduate of Metea high<br />
school and on June 7 of this year was married to Rose Marie FRY, who survives.<br />
Also surviving are the parents, R.R. 1, Twelve Mile, the grandparents, Mrs. Alma<br />
WILLIAMSON, Clearwater, Fla., and Mr. and Mrs. Frank BROWN, fulton, and one sister, Carol<br />
[WILLIAMSON], at home.<br />
Williamson was a member of the <strong>Fulton</strong> Pilgrim Holiness church.<br />
Charles J. Lewis<br />
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home for<br />
Charles Jackson “Doc” LEWIS, Rochester, who died of a heart attack Tuesday afternoon.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Rev. George CRANE will officiate at the rites and burial will be in the I.O.O.F.<br />
cemetery here. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.<br />

Walter H. Meader<br />
Walter H. “Bud” MEADER, 45, died at 11:30 p.m. Thursday in Woodlawn hospital, 15<br />
minutes after his admission there. He had been ill since Monday at his home, 700 Pontiac street.<br />
A post-mortem examination was conducted today to determine the cause of death.<br />
Born Oct. 9, 1913, in Indianapolis, he had resided in Rochester since 1926, moving here<br />
from Tipton. His parents are John W. and Mae HUSTON MEADER, who reside at the Pontiac<br />
street address.<br />
Mr. Meader was employed at Roth Park hotel in Monticello and also had worked as a<br />
truck driver and for Studebaker’s in South Bend. He was a veteran of World War II and belonged<br />
to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.<br />
Surviving besides the parents, are two sisters, Mrs. Louise CARITHERS and Mrs. Betty<br />
ROBERTSON, both of Rochester, one nephew and two nieces.<br />
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home<br />
with the Rev. George CRANE officiating. Burial will be in the Park cemetery at Greenfield.<br />
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Saturday.
