Also surviving are a brother, Orlen KEPLER, and a sister, Mrs. Roscoe PLUNKETT,<br />
both of Indian Rock Beach, Fla.<br />
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Edwardsburg Methodist church with the<br />
Rev. Norman KNIGHT officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Memorial Park at South Bend.<br />
Friends may call at the Pifer-Mayhew funeral home in Edwrdsburg.<br />
James A. Williams<br />
James A. WILLIAMS, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester WILLIAMS, died Sunday<br />
morning at 8:20 o’clock in the Bluffton clinic after a two-year illness. <strong>The</strong> Williams family<br />
resides three mines northeast of <strong>Fulton</strong>.<br />
Born Oct. 25, 1938, in <strong>Fulton</strong> county, James was the son of Chester and Donna<br />
GORDON WILLIAMS. He was a member of the <strong>Fulton</strong> E.U.B. church.<br />
Surviving, besides the parents, are two brothers, Mark [WILLIAMS], R.R. 1, Rochester,<br />
and Dee [WILLIAMS], at home; two sisters, Betty Jo and Sara Lou [WILLIAMS], both at home;<br />
the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard WILLIAMS, <strong>Fulton</strong>, and the maternal<br />
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene GORDON, R.R. 6, Rochester. One sister, Bonnie Jean<br />
[WILLIAMS], preceded him in death.<br />
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the <strong>Fulton</strong> E.U.B. church with the Rev.<br />
Arthur TRUEX officiating. Burial will be in the <strong>Fulton</strong> cemetery. Friends may call at he<br />
residence. <strong>The</strong> Ditmire funeral home at <strong>Fulton</strong> is in charge of the rites.<br />
Myron E. Conover<br />
Last rites were held this afternoon from the Grace Methodist church in South Bend for<br />
Myron E. CONOVER, 66, former Rochester resident, who died Friday in St. Joseph’s hospital at<br />
South Bend after a six-week illness. He resided at 1217 East Fox street in South Bend.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Rev. Ralph STEELE officiated at the rites and burial was in the Maplewood<br />
cemetery, Valparaiso.<br />
A veteran of World War I, Mr. Conover left Rochester five years ago for South Bend. He<br />
was born in Bradford, Ill., Oct 29, 1892, and on April 22, 1917, was married at Valparaiso to<br />
Bernice WOLFE, who survives.<br />
A member of the Grace church in South Bend, Mr. Conover had been a representative for<br />
the Monarch Finer Foods firm of chicago in this area the past 40 years.<br />
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Charles G. GETMAN, Fort Wayne; two<br />
granddaughters, Karen and Sandra GETMAN; two sisters, Miss Nina CONOVER, Hammond, and<br />
Mrs. Wade C. HOLT, Bloomfield, Ky., and several nieces and nephews.<br />
Russell V. Mathias<br />
Last rites were held this afternoon at Pleasant Hill Methodist church for Russell Vern<br />
MATHIAS, 62, who resided south of Akron in Miami county. Burial was in the Akron cemetery.<br />
Mr. Mathias was found dead Friday at his home. Dr. O. B. JOHNSON, Miami county<br />
coroner, attributed death to a self-inflicted wound from a .12 gauge shotgun. Mathias’ body was<br />
discovered about 1 p.m. by his wife, Charlotte [MATHIAS], when she returned from a shopping<br />
trip to Akron. He had been in ill health about four years.<br />
Born Feb. 16, 1897, in Miami county, he was the son of Jacob and Suffronia CRIST<br />
MATHIAS. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill church. His marriage was to Charlotte<br />
DEILMAN on Oct. 23, 1919.
