Maggie Metzger<br />
Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie METZGER, 81, Silver Lake, who died in the Landis<br />
nursing home at Argos at 9 a.m. Thursday, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Summe-Dickerson<br />
funeral home at Silver Lake.<br />
Burial will be in the Church of the Brethren cemetery west of North Manchester. Friends<br />
may call at the Umbaugh funeral home in Argos until noon Saturday and after that at the Summe-<br />
Dickerson funeral home.<br />
Mrs. Metzger, who entered the nursing home about a year ago, died after a lingering<br />
illness.<br />
Born Aug. 6, 1878 in Indiana, she was the daughter of Daniel and Kathryn BALLINGER<br />
VANCE. She had spent most of her life in the Silver Lake and Laketon communities.<br />
Mrs. Metzger’s husband, Lyman [METZGER], died in 1938. She was a member of the<br />
Seventh Day Adventist church.<br />
Surviving are a son, George [METZGER], Argos; two sisters, Mrs. Ralph BRANDS,<br />
Chicago, and Mrs. Warren HENRY, Silver Lake; a brother, Layman VANCE, Claypool; two<br />
grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.<br />

William Zink<br />
Final rites for William ZINK, 77, retired farmer, realtor and auctioneer, who died Friday,<br />
will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home here.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Rev. Kenneth FOULKE of the Rochester E.U.B. church will officiate, assisted by the<br />
Rev. Clyde WALTERS of Logansport. Burial will be in the Richland Center cemetery.<br />
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today<br />
Mr. Zink, who formerly lived at 1117 Franklin avenue, died at 3 p.m. Friday in the Miller<br />
nursing home here, where he had been a patient since September, 1958. He had been in failing<br />
health four years.<br />
<strong>The</strong> son of Franklin and Martha ALEXANDER ZINK, he was born in Richland township<br />
Aug. 18, 1882. He had spent most of his life in <strong>Fulton</strong> county. On Nov. 28, 1903, he was married<br />
in Burnettsville to Jessie Lee LEMON. He was a member of the Rochester E.U.B. church.<br />
Surviving are his wife, 901 Jefferson street; a daughter, Mrs. Donald COOK, Valparaiso;<br />
three sons, Harold [ZINK], Indianapolis, and Everett and Charles [ZINK], Anderson; six<br />
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Della RAHFELDT, LaPorte. A<br />
daughter, Maxine [ZINK], and a son, Ora [ZINK], preceded him in death.<br />
