Pearl Pressnall<br />
Mrs. Pearl PRESSNALL, 65, Beaver Dam Lake, died at 2:10 a.m. today at her home<br />
after an illness of one year. She had spent all her life in the Akron and Beaver Dam communities.<br />
Born July 27, 1894, in Gilead, she was reared by Mrs. Dora BRIGHT of Akron. In 1919,<br />
she was married to Earl PRESSNALL. She was a member of the Akron Methodist church.<br />
John Swartwood<br />
Word has been received here of the death of John SWARTWOOD, 77, Sarasota, Fla.,<br />
who spent his early life in Rochester.<br />
He died last Tuesday. Funeral services and burial were in Sarasota Thursday.<br />
Mr. Swartwood was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Joe BARNETT, 306 West Ninth street.<br />
Among the survivors are two sons, Harold [SWARTWOOD], Cummings, Ga., and Howard<br />
[SWARTWOOD], Aden, Ia.<br />
Ruby Shively<br />
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home for<br />
Mrs. Ruby SHIVELY, 71, 917 Madison street who died at her home Friday afternoon at 1 o’clock<br />
of a heart attack.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Rev. Harry BAILEY of Indianapolis will officiate and burial will be in the Rochester<br />
I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.<br />
Born in Muncie on Oct. 1, 1888, Mrs. Shively was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John<br />
MONTGOMERY. She was married at Rochester July 8, 1952, to Noah SHIVELY, who survives.<br />
Mrs. Shively had resided in this city for the past 38 years, moving here from Detroit.<br />
She was a member of the First Baptist church and the Jane Line class of that church, of<br />
the Radio club and the Rebekah lodge.<br />
Surviving, besides the husband, are one son, William “Casey” MORGAN, Rochester;<br />
four granddaughters and one grandson. One son, Arthur [MORGAN], and three sisters preceded<br />
her in death.<br />
Monday, December 21, <strong>1959</strong><br />
Ruby McClain<br />
Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at the Farley funeral home in Indianapolis<br />
for Mrs. Ruby FRED McCLAIN, Indianapolis, a former resident of the Kewanna and <strong>Fulton</strong><br />
communities.<br />
Mrs. McClain, sister of Claude FRED of <strong>Fulton</strong>, died Saturday in Indianapolis.<br />
Cassius Brown<br />
Cassius BROWN, 77, formerly of Rochester, died this morning at the home of a<br />
daughter, Mrs. Marie OSTHEIMER, with whom he lived in Lawrence, Mich.<br />
Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bubb funeral home, Mishawaka.<br />
Among the survivors are a sister, Mrs. Ora CASTLE MOHLER, and a brother, Gene<br />
BROWN, both of Rochester.
