Florence Ruth Ballenger<br />
Mrs. Florence Ruth BALLENGER, 61, who had spent most of her life in <strong>Fulton</strong> county,<br />
died Tuesday at 6:10 p.m. in Woodlawn hospital after a seven-month illness.<br />
She was born Jan. 7, 1898, in Miami county, the daughter of George and Ollie TROUT<br />
HARDING. She was married March 13, 1914, to William BALLENGER, who survives.<br />
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth STRATTON, R.R. 3, North Manchester,<br />
with whom she made her home; and Mrs. Claude JONES, Kokomo; four grandchildren; one greatgrandson;<br />
one sister, Mrs. LeRoy BUDD, Reynolds, and one brother, Roscoe HARDING, South<br />
Bend.<br />
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with<br />
the Rev. O. G. HAHN of Kokomo officiating. Burial will be in the Citizens cemetery here.<br />
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.<br />
Tressie Craig<br />
Mrs. Tressie CRAIG, 93, former Akron resident, died at the Twin Oaks nursing home in<br />
Kokomo Tuesday afternoon after a long illness. She had spent the last 50 years in Kokomo.<br />
Born in Miami county, June 11, 1866, she was the daughter of Augusta and Frances<br />
CARPENTER BRAUNELLER. She was married in 1885 to Thomas CRAIG, who died in 1930.<br />
Mrs. Craig was a retired practical nurse.<br />
Surviving are three sons, Victory and Dale [CRAIG], both of Kokomo, and Wilbur<br />
[CRAIG], Rochester; one daughter, Mrs. Russell GUDD, Evansville; eighteen grandchildren;<br />
thirty-eight great grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.<br />
Last rites will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Ellers chapel at Kokomo with the Rev. Roy<br />
HELMS officiating. Burial will be in the Crown Point cemetery at Kokomo. Friends may call at<br />
the chapel.<br />

Mary Squires<br />
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Foster & Good funeral home here for Mrs.<br />
Mary SQUIRES, 82, 1513 Wallace avenue, who died at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Rochester<br />
nursing home. She had been ill for the past eight months and in the nursing home one month.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Rev. F. R. FRENCH of the Assembly of God church will officiate at the services and<br />
burial will be in the Citizens cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.<br />
Mrs. Squires, who resided with her son, Glenn [SQUIRES], was born in Rochester Aug.<br />
13, 1876, the daughter of Alvin and Anna TALLEY. She was married to Reuben SQUIRES, who<br />
died Oct. 2, 1947. Four sons also preceded her in death.<br />
Surviving are another son, Arthur [SQUIRES], Logansport; three daughters, Ada<br />
BLESSING, Kewanna; Mrs. Mabel CAMP, Little Rock, Ark., and Mrs. Gale HODSON, Elk<br />
Grove, Cal., and five grandchildren.
